A couple of days after your initial telephone call, you will receive a laminated wallet through the post. Clear, simple instructions are given on how to identify and label each rug and how to arrange collection via The Horse Laundry’s own vehicle (No more dirty, smelly rugs to hump around in the car!). From then on you can relax.
At the Horse laundry premises the rugs are assessed. The second stage of the process is to wash the rugs using a powerful commercial washing machine from Miele. The highly sophisticated and expensive machinery launders the rug using an extensive washing cycle with automatically dispensed detergent. If necessary, on the second rinse a liquid reproofer is also dispensed. After the normal spinning cycle rugs are warm-air dried. Rugs are vacuumed and any necessary repairs are carried out, taking into account colour and fabric match where possible. Rugs are then returned wrapped in soft tissue paper in a strong, transparent, heat sealed bag printed with the company logo. Space is left in the bag which as well as allowing rugs to breath, enables the clean smell of freshly laundered rugs to permeate the air.
